Michah Papp, 20, better known as ``Manny the Hippie'' was arrested Monday and booked into the San Francisco City Jail on several outstanding traffic warrants and an Ohio fugitive warrant for violation of probation on a marijuana trafficking charge, police said.
Papp became an instant celebrity in May when David Letterman picked him out in front of an ice cream parlor in the Haight Ashbury district and hired Papp to do hippie bits and movie reviews on Letterman's ``Late Show'' on CBS
Authorities said Papp was picked up for the traffic warrants and officers who detained him then found the Ohio warrant when running a records check on Papp. Although he remained jailed last night, he was in very good spirits, officers said.
