| Dear Cris, I was so sorry to hear of Ricks passing away, and my heart goes out to you in this time of great loss in your life. I know it’s been a long path, I’m sure, with many profound ups and downs for both you and Rick. My own partner of 22 years – Mitchell – passed away in 1996 after spending 48 weeks of the last 2 years of his life either in the hospital or hospice. For me, it became the most intimate and enlightening episode thus far in my life. I wish you peace, time to recover, the support of friends and family, and in time, renewed life and healing. All with your own great memories of a wonderful man and partner: Rick Windes. He will be missed by many, but none more than you. Take care of yourself.
