| Dear Cris, I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Rick. You two guys were very influential to me almost 20 years ago now, in getting me involved in swimming. You may not remember, but it was you who convinced me to swim breast stroke. I always remember the encouragement and just plain soft spoken kind and presence of Rick. I know I’ve only seem you guys sporadically, usually at meets, but I’ve always admired you both. I am so sorry for what you are going (and have been) through. Unfortunately, I know it all to well. Just wanted to send you my thoughts and prayers. Remember the best part of Rick lives on in you to share with the rest of the world. Fondly. Frank |
