| Dear Cris, I am greatly saddened by the news of Rick’s death. I admired his intelligence, dedication to Masters Swimming and the dignity with which he lived his life. I was always amazed at how much joy he could get out of life in spite of his illness. The two of you were fun to be with and seemed to bring each other a great deal of happiness.
