| Dear Cris, I just read on the USMS website that Rick finally lost his battle. I am happy for Rick that his struggle is over, and so sad for you, that you have been deprived of his companionship. Actually, I’m sad for myself, too. Rick was one of my favorite people at Convention, and I can’t imagine what it will be like without him. I am not especially religious, so I can’t in good conscience offer you the standard platitudes. I just want to let you know how much I care, and how much I admire you for your steadfast support of Rick. Much love, Meg |
